The truth of karma: don’t lie to yourself

Recently, I found myself in the grip of powerful negative thoughts, venting frustration, sadness, and judgment. But I decided to turn to a meditation I’ve learned through the Seed System – Tong Len. It brought clarity and reminded me of past commitments. However, the process didn’t end there; seeds once opened cannot be stopped.

If you’re familiar with karma, you’ve probably encountered a deceitful lie we tell ourselves occasionally. It’s a self-invented notion, as no reliable teachings about karma promise a human life free from problems or mental afflictions. This misconception can be deeply hurtful, especially when we face challenging times. I’ve been there, dealing with mental afflictions and difficulties, even though I’ve sown countless beautiful results of karma in my life.

The karma we carry

It’s crucial to remember that within our minds lies a vast collection of positive and negative seeds. Acknowledging this truth is vital. If all our karma were positive, we wouldn’t experience hunger, cold, or illness, but the reality is different. We all have a mix of karma, and that’s why we encounter negative experiences.

This is human life. Right?

No matter how we feel today, we will feel something different the next day.

Recently, I found myself in the grip of powerful negative thoughts, venting frustration, sadness, and judgment. Sadly, once our karma has opened, it cannot be stopped.

And that’s another vital point to keep in mind. Karma is so fair and congruent that once you start to experience the consequence of your actions, you won’t be able to stop it. You can only work today on those things you don’t want to live tomorrow.

Whatever you are experiencing today is a consequence of how you behaved last week. This, of course, is an exaggeration to make a point since there’s no such thing as instant karma.

The whole point here is we have been creating new karma since forever, all kinds of karma. Therefore, we can expect all kinds of experiences to happen in our lives.

Giving and taking. Creating karma on your chair.

In the middle of my, let’s call it crisis, I decided to turn to a meditation I’ve learned through studying karma, “Tong Len.” It brought clarity and reminded me of past commitments.

I won’t describe the process of this meditation because it is so good that it deserves a whole post for itself. However, I will say that this meditation is based on switching the self-centered approach of our minds to a more kind and generous state of mind.

The whole exercise of this meditation is so powerful that you will be crafting a bunch of good karma just seated on your chair and enjoying the great pleasures of practicing meditation.

If you have seen our YouTube video about what karma is, you would already know by now, that we are creating new karma with every action, word, and, most importantly every thought we have.

So, meditation is a way to control and focus your thoughts on something you want to understand, analyze, review, or solve.

Celebrating. Creating good karma in bed

Just like the benefits of Tong Len, another meditation worked out for me during this period of profound and strong mental afflictions. We have already learned about that meditation in our video about the karma-boosting system. We like to call it “Celebration.”

Celebration of my good karma before going to bed is a fantastic way to push out the karma I have created to get the results I want. It’s kind of like a shot of adrenaline that speeds the process of multiplication and manifestation of our karma. Therefore, it is a crucial step in the whole karma-boosting system.

After I started coping and embracing the celebration of my good actions, it filled me with gratitude and joy, sparking a surge of creativity. I couldn’t sleep as ideas poured out, focused on helping others through the celebration process.

My learning experience

The lesson I learned on this journey of self-discovery was profound. Firstly, honesty with ourselves is essential; negative karma is still waiting to return. Secondly, focusing on others’ pain helps us transcend our own, avoiding victimization. Lastly, celebrating the good we do for others displaces negativity, allowing positive karma to grow.
